playing farm

[a lost october post]

We’ve had really wonderful playdates this year, thanks to generous friends both small and large. Parks, homes, museums, woods, and even farms.

sneads - tractor fun

Our final trip to a favorite farm was perfect, including:

a picnic lunch beneath the shady canopy of wisteria vines,

romping through a gourd-strung pole tent and tunnel,

sneads - tunnel fun

riding (and sometimes tumbling off) miniature tractors and farm vehicles,

touching baby chicks (oh, so carefully), avoiding the cranky chickens, sleepy calf and grazing alpaca,

sneads - little door

and trying to persuade Mama that there was no good reason, really, to ever leave the small log farmhouse.

Being a new Mama in a new place can be difficult, but finding new friends to make that journey with you? That’s a blessing. Thank you, ladies & gents.
