into a new decade

Such a fun celebration yesterday!

tiny cakes

We enjoyed a European New Year’s Eve with several families of under-5 children. It enabled very little ones (and their parents) the opportunity to enjoy the fireworks & noisemakers & cheering without waiting up too late. We missed Paris (still feasting and making merry), but bundled everyone into warm clothes silly head-gear & made it outside in time for the London countdown.

Such a good idea! Even if I’m sure the neighbors thought we were nuts…

For our contribution to the party feast, I baked tiny molded sponge cakes topped with powdered sugar & melted mint-dark chocolate drizzle.  And for our anniversary, two much larger cupcakes with the sugar & the drizzle. Yumm.
