birthday knitting: coffee bean

28 12 2009

This week we’ll be catching up on reports of the holiday knitting & craft frenzy. There is still a small (very small) pile of yarn sitting next to the computer as I write this, remnants of projects that were re-prioritized when I realized that I had to sleep occasionally. And there’s also a miscellaneous sprawl on the dining room table and half of the sofa. And a not-small box of baking supplies next to the kitchen. But it was fun.

First: Bebe’s short-sleeved cardigan.

My first time working with 2 colorways & doing sleeves. Knitting sleeves was a bit traumatizing for me – dpn’s were tossed across a room a few times –

and I think a month went by between each sleeve, but I finally finished the cardigan just in time for Bebe’s birthday.

That is such a lovely sweater. It looks like you put it together perfectly, and the colors are just wonderful together. Well done 🙂

Thank you! Fortunately, it’s a top-down raglan, so there was zero seaming required.
